VOICE’s work is deeply interconnected with climate justice, recognizing that women and girls, particularly in conflict and crisis settings, are disproportionately affected by the impacts of climate change. As natural disasters, environmental degradation, and resource scarcity escalate due to climate change, women and girls often bear the brunt of these crises, facing heightened risks of gender-based violence, displacement, and loss of livelihoods.

At VOICE, we prioritize the leadership and agency of women and girls in responding to climate-related disasters, ensuring their voices are at the forefront of decision-making processes. We work directly with women-led and gender-diverse organizations in affected regions to implement gender-responsive crisis management strategies. By integrating women’s perspectives and needs into climate adaptation and disaster response efforts, we aim to foster resilience and create more equitable, sustainable solutions.

Through our advocacy, training, and rapid response initiatives, VOICE is committed to addressing the intersecting issues of gender inequality and climate justice, driving systemic change that supports the safety, security, and well-being of women and girls in the face of the climate crisis.
