VOICE is a cutting-edge feminist organization working to end violence against women and girls in conflict, crisis, and disaster settings around the world.

VOICE recognizes that women and their movements are working to challenge injustice, inequality and violence against women and girls well before humanitarian crises hit, and continue the struggle long after it ends.

Across the globe our team of experienced feminist activists, researchers and practitioners support frontline women- and girl-led organizations in conflict, crisis, and disaster settings where levels of gender-based violence are highest.

In 2022, we worked in 18 countries including:

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Colombia, Ethiopia, Hungary, Iraq, Kenya, Moldova, Myanmar, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine and the United States. 

Feminist accompaniment and partnership: VOICE supports women’s organizations in countries impacted by humanitarian crises to strengthen, expand and sustain their work to end violence against women and girls and other injustices. This includes capacity strengthening in governance and operations, visibility and fundraising, and preventing and responding to violence against women and girls.

Direct support to meet urgent needs: VOICE facilitates access to resources to meet urgent needs of local women and girl-led organizations providing services to women, girls and other marginalized community members.

Supporting feminist leaders and movements: VOICE nurtures and supports women’s rights leaders and movements. We provide opportunities for networking and connecting, self and collective care, learning and organizing.

Advocacy: VOICE provides a platform to elevate the voices, experiences and perspectives of women’s rights activists and organizations to influence and inform humanitarian action.
